Todays lesson is Paul’s request for prayer for the gospel to spread rapidly. Up until now, Paul has been encouraging the Thessalonian church and telling them about his constant prayers for them to overcome the hardships that they were going through. Now, Paul was teaching them to pray beyond themselves and their problems, but for the Kingdom of God and for those advancing the Kingdom of God.
