Today, we are going to look at advice on honoring spiritual leaders and how to encourage each other. To the Greeks, all their philosophical knowledge meant practicing Agape love was not a common practice. Just like today, people were honored, respected and loved if they were seen as intelligent, high-achievers, assertive, heroes, highly-educated, rich, etc. The opposite was seen as a weakness. In this lesson, Paul gives this church advice on how to love like God – practically, with Paul’s understanding of a Greek mind that has been influenced by Greek culture and philosophies.
