Thessalonica was Apostle Paul’s 13th out of 22 destinations in this 2nd mission trip. He preached the Gospel in the Jewish synagogues on 3 successive Sabbath days. Thereafter, he stayed for some time preaching the Gospel to both Jews and gentiles, while working to support himself. The church grew as more received Christ and some Jews who grew jealous of the church got offended. Failing to find Paul, they attacked the new believers and Paul had to be rescued by the new believers to the next town, his 14th mission destination, Beroea. When he reached his 16th mission destination, Corinth, God promised him a resting season from being hunted and persecuted, he was able to continue preaching the Gospel for a year-and-a-half. This is the time he wrote the 1st and 2nd Book of Thessalonians.

Apostle Paul’s 2nd mission trip
