In the Book of Acts, we studied Apostle Paul’s mission trips from city to city preaching the gospel and starting churches, beyond Israel to non-Jewish cities. His approach in each city was to start at a Jewish synagogue to preach salvation through Jesus Christ, and that the Messiah they have been waiting for has come and is Jesus. Jewish people knew the scriptures of what we now call The Old Testament, learning from a very young age, so Paul would try convince them with the scriptures of the prophets about the Jewish Messiah. Some would believe and some would not and go as far as to persecute Paul. Paul would then leave the synagogue and preach to the gentiles. This was the call Holy Spirit gave him.
