In this chapter, we read about Jesus spending his last Passover supper with his twelve disciples. This was a special Passover because it was also during Shabbat. We read about Jesus ministering love to his disciples and teaching them to love one another.

We also learn about two betrayals Jesus was about to experience, from Judas Iscariot – because of his unrepentant bitter heart, and from Peter – because of fear of men.
